# Pricing & Policy

ScaleConnect uses a simple per-client pricing model. This page covers pricing, what's included, the free trial, billing management, and subscription lifecycle.

***

## Pricing

ScaleConnect is priced at **$100 per month per 100-client block**, which works out to **$1 per client per month**.

Pricing scales in 100-client increments:

| Clients | Monthly cost |
| ------- | ------------ |
| 1–100   | $100         |
| 101–200 | $200         |
| 201–300 | $300         |
| 301–400 | $400         |

There is no per-seat charge — your entire team is included in every plan. You only pay based on the number of clients in your practice.

{% hint style="info" %}
A "client" is any individual or joint account connected to your practice with an active strategy. Disconnected clients do not count towards your block allocation.
{% endhint %}

## What's Included

Every 100-client block includes full access to the entire ScaleConnect platform:

| Feature                | Details                                                                                 |

| **Client management** | Add, import, invite, and manage client profiles |

| **AI features** | Broker Brain, Ask AI, AI Reviews, Calendar Agent |
| **AI credits**         | 1,000 credits per 100-client block per month                                            |

There are no feature tiers or premium add-ons. Every broker gets the same platform regardless of plan size.

## AI Credits

Each 100-client block comes with **1,000 AI credits per month**. Credits are consumed by:

* AI chat messages (Broker Brain and Ask AI)
* AI Reviews (automated portfolio assessments)
* Calendar Agent actions (trigger evaluations, meeting bookings)

Credits reset on each billing cycle. If you run out mid-month, AI features are paused until the next cycle — your strategies, data, and non-AI features remain fully functional. Adding another 100-client block gives you an additional 1,000 credits.

***

## Free Trial

Every new account starts with a **90-day free trial** on the first 100-client block.

* Full access to all features during the trial — simulator, AI, integrations, team collaboration, exports.
* No credit card required to start.
* You can add up to 100 clients during the trial period.
* AI credits are included during the trial (1,000 credits).
* At the end of 90 days, you'll be prompted to enter billing details to continue.
* If you don't add billing details, your account enters read-only mode — no data is deleted.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you need more time to evaluate ScaleConnect, contact support before your trial expires. We can extend the trial on a case-by-case basis.
{% endhint %}

## Billing

Billing is handled monthly through **Stripe**. After your free trial ends (or when you add billing details), your subscription begins.

* Invoices are generated on the same date each month (the date you first subscribed).
* Payment is charged automatically to the card on file.
* Invoices and receipts are available in the Stripe Customer Portal.

### Managing your billing

Go to **Settings → Billing** in ScaleConnect and click **Manage Subscription**. This opens the **Stripe Customer Portal**, where you can:

* Update your payment method
* View and download past invoices
* Change your plan (add or remove 100-client blocks)
* Cancel your subscription

***

## Upgrading and Downgrading

### Adding clients

When you need more than 100 clients, add another 100-client block via the Stripe Customer Portal (**Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription**). Each additional block costs $100/month and includes another 1,000 AI credits. The upgrade takes effect immediately and is prorated for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

### Reducing clients

If your practice shrinks, you can remove a 100-client block from the same portal. The change takes effect at the next billing date. Make sure your active client count fits within the remaining allocation before downgrading — if you have more active clients than your new plan allows, you'll need to disconnect clients first.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Downgrading does not delete client data. Disconnected clients retain their data in ScaleApp and can be reconnected later.
{% endhint %}

## Subscription Lifecycle

Your subscription moves through these statuses:

| Status        | What it means                                                                                                           |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Trialing** | Free trial period — full access, no charge. Lasts 90 days. |
| **Active** | Billing details on file, payments current. Full access. |
| **Past Due** | A payment failed. Stripe retries automatically. Access continues during the retry window. |
| **Cancelled** | You cancelled via the portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period, then switches to read-only. |
| **Unpaid** | Payment retries exhausted. Access is suspended until payment is resolved. |

### After cancellation

When your subscription is cancelled:

* You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
* After that, your account enters read-only mode — you can view strategies and data, but you cannot create new strategies, add clients, or use AI features.
* Your data is not deleted. You can reactivate at any time by re-entering billing details.
* If you want data permanently deleted, submit a deletion request — see [Data & Privacy](/scaleconnect-docs/graveyard/data-and-privacy.md).

### Reactivating

To reactivate a cancelled account, go to **Settings → Billing** and click **Manage Subscription**. Add a payment method and select your plan. Your account is restored immediately with full access to all your existing data, strategies, and clients.

## Refund Policy

ScaleConnect does not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access until the end of that billing period but are not refunded for the remaining days. If you believe you've been charged in error, contact support and we'll investigate promptly.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.scaleconnect.com.au/scaleconnect-docs/graveyard/pricing-and-policy.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
