## Platform Tour

A closer look at the screens and tools you'll use every day.

### 1. Add a client

Open [Your Clients](https://github.com/scaleapp-au/scaleconnect-docs/blob/main/client-dashboard.md) and click **Add Client**. Build a profile, add a property, set a goal, and save. The dashboard is your operational home — every client appears here with search, sort, and list/timeline views.

### 2. See where they stand

Click into the client. The **Overview** tab shows their full financial position — portfolio value, equity, debt, cashflow, goal progress — on one screen. The goal you just set has a timeline attached: you can immediately see how far away they are and what needs to change to get there.

### 3. Run a scenario

Switch to the **Simulator** tab — an interactive timeline projecting every month for up to 30 years:

* **Client timelines** (purple rows) — income, expenses, loans, and life events across months
* **Property timelines** (green rows) — rental income, loan updates, capital growth, refinances, sales
* **Timeline markers** — green line (strategy start), purple line (today), blue line (property added date)
* **Event selector** — click the **+** button or any grey month bar to add events (rate changes, refinances, pay rises, property sales, bonuses, one-off expenses)
* **Monthly summary cards** at the top — Cash Available, Portfolio Value, Equity Available, Debt Outstanding — update live as you add or change events

Every change recalculates the entire projection instantly. No "run" button, no waiting. Add a rate change and watch 30 years update in real time.

For the full event catalogue see [Assumptions & Events](/scaleconnect-docs/simulator/assumptions-and-events.md).

### 4. Ask your AI Assistant

Each client has an **AI Assistant** tab that queries 50+ tools across strategy inputs, portfolio positions, cashflows, loan structures, goals, and timeline projections. It traces causality through a 355-node dependency graph backed by 967 field definitions and Australian property/finance principles.

* Suggested prompts tailored to the client's current position
* Voice input supported
* Response actions: Copy, Share, Regenerate, Add to Notes

> "What's this client's borrowing power?" "Compare the base case with the refinance scenario."

See [AI Assistant](https://github.com/scaleapp-au/scaleconnect-docs/blob/main/ai-assistant.md) for the full capability set.

### 5. Generate a Client Review

ScaleAI generates structured portfolio analyses for each client — covering snapshot metrics, observations, goal progress, and prioritised next steps. You configure the schedule (monthly to annual), choose which sections to include, and set the approval mode (auto-approve, pending approval, or manual review).

Reviews are sent to clients through ScaleApp chat. Add your own recommendations before sending to turn an AI analysis into a conversation starter.

See [AI Client Reviews](https://github.com/scaleapp-au/scaleconnect-docs/blob/main/ai-reviews.md) for setup and configuration.

### 6. Go broader with Broker Brain

Click the **Broker Brain** icon in the top nav. Unlike the per-client AI Assistant, Broker Brain sees every client, property, loan, and strategy across your brokerage:

* Refinance signals — fixed rates expiring, competitive rate gaps
* Revenue forecasts — projected trail income and settlement pipeline
* Review schedules — upcoming and overdue client reviews
* Equity milestones — clients approaching borrowing thresholds

The welcome screen suggests three starting actions: Brokerage Snapshot, Revenue Forecast, Refinance Signals.

> "Show me clients with fixed rates expiring in the next 90 days."

See [Broker Brain](https://github.com/scaleapp-au/scaleconnect-docs/blob/main/broker-brain.md) for the full guide.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.scaleconnect.com.au/scaleconnect-docs/help-centre/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
